I have been on the hunt for the perfect riding pants for my 40 year old, soft around the edges, comfort-seeking body. I need a high waist, nice stretch, petite-ish length, bootcut, and ideally a large phone pocket. Harder to find than you might think!
These Ride Proud Trail Pants are my #1 pick. Designed by riding women for riding women, they check all the boxes! A little on the spendy side, but worth it for a pair of jeans you will wear every time you ride, and that look good to boot.
There is also the ever-classic Wrangler Q Baby. This would be my budget pick. I have a pair and they have held up well, come in a range of lengths and colors.
